I love the Oscars. As soon as the nominees are announced, I start my plan to see all of the movies in the top categories.
This is how I've seen amazing movies like Parasite that I might not have watched otherwise.
This year, because I’ve become more interested in film editing, I ran my eyes down that category.
I didn't know any of those editor names.
And I started to wonder can a typical moviegoer recognize the contributions of a film editor as opposed to a director or a cinematographer or a screenwriter? So I made a vlog about it:
